Some Prius models, especially from 2010-2014, are known to have issues with excessive oil consumption due to a design flaw in the piston rings. This leads to the engine burning more oil than usual. Symptoms include:

Low oil levels between changes
Blue smoke from the exhaust
Engine knocking o r poor performance

It is recommended to monitor oil levels closely and top up oil regularly. In some cases, Toyota may offer extended warranties o r repairs for affected vehicles.
