Why do Toyota Prius key fob and remote controls sometimes fail to lock/unlock doors?

Some Prius owners face key fob issues, where pressing the lock/unlock button doesn’t work consistently.
Could this be due to a weak key fob battery, signal interference, o r a programming error?
What are the best ways to reset o r reprogram the Prius key fob?

Key fob issues can arise due to:

Weak Key Fob Battery: The most common cause for remote failure.
Signal Interference: External devices o r nearby vehicles can interfere with the fobs signal.
Programming Error: Sometimes the key fob may need to be reset o r reprogrammed after a battery change.

Fix:

Replace the key fob battery.
Try reprogramming the key fob by following the owner’s manual o r visiting a dealer for reprogramming.
