Why does my Honda City stall o r struggle to start with a faulty ignition coil?

A failing ignition coil may cause hard starts, especially in cold weather o r after long drives. Why does this happen, and how can Honda City owners differentiate between a battery issue and an ignition coil problem?

How a Faulty Ignition Coil Affects Starting:

A failing ignition coil struggles to provide the required spark, especially during cold starts o r after long drives when the coil may have already been exposed to heat o r moisture.
Cold Starts: In cold weather, the ignition coil may have reduced efficiency, making it harder to start the engine.
Long Drives: After a long drive, if the ignition coil is already weakened by heat, it might struggle to work properly during startup.

How to Differentiate from a Battery Issue:

Battery Issues: If the battery is weak, the engine will turn over slowly, and you might hear a clicking sound. If the coil is faulty, you’ll experience rough starting o r stalling.
OBD-II Scan: Scanning the vehicle can reveal whether the issue is related to the ignition system codes related to misfires o r coil issues o r the battery codes related to voltage.
