Why does my Suzuki Cultus make a clicking noise but wont start?

A clicking noise when you try to start the engine typically indicates a problem with the starter motor solenoid o r a weak battery. The solenoid may be failing to engage the motor, o r the battery might not have enough charge to power the starter motor.

A clicking noise but no start typically indicates an issue with the starter motors solenoid o r a weak battery. The solenoid may be malfunctioning and not properly engaging the starter motor. It can also mean the battery voltage is too low to send enough power to the starter motor, even though the solenoid clicks.

Solution: Check the battery for sufficient charge. If the battery is healthy, inspect the solenoid and starter motor for faults. It may be necessary to replace the solenoid o r the starter motor if they are defective.
