Loose o r unresponsive steering can be caused by:

Loose Steering Components: Worn o r loose parts like the steering rack, tie rods, o r steering column bearings can cause play in the steering wheel.

Faulty Power Steering Pump: If the power steering pump is failing, it may not assist the steering properly, causing it to feel unresponsive.

Worn Steering Rack: A worn-out steering rack can make the steering feel loose and unresponsive.

Air in the Power Steering System: Air bubbles in the system can cause inconsistent steering and make the wheel feel loose.

Solution: Inspect the steering components, check the power steering pump, and have the system bled to remove any air.
