Why is my Alto Lapin consuming more fuel than usual? Could spark plugs be the issue?
I’ve noticed a significant decrease in fuel efficiency in my Alto Lapin. I’m wondering if the spark plugs could be contributing to the increased fuel consumption. How do spark plugs affect fuel efficiency, and what are the signs that they might need attention?

Increased fuel consumption in your Alto Lapin could be linked to worn-out o r fouled spark plugs, which negatively affect the combustion process.
How Spark Plugs Affect Fuel Efficiency:
Incomplete combustion: If spark plugs are worn o r fouled, they can’t ignite the fuel mixture properly, leading to incomplete combustion. This reduces engine efficiency and increases fuel consumption.
Weak sparks: If the spark plugs are old o r not generating a strong enough spark, the engine needs to work harder to burn the fuel, leading to a decrease in fuel efficiency.
Increased engine load: When spark plugs are not functioning properly, the engine works harder to maintain power, which results in higher fuel consumption.
Solution:
Replace faulty spark plugs: Check the spark plugs for signs of wear o r fouling. If needed, replace them with new ones to restore optimal engine performance and fuel efficiency.
Ensure proper spark plug gap: Sometimes, an incorrect spark plug gap can lead to poor fuel efficiency. Verify the gap is within the manufacturer’s recommended range.
Check for other issues: While spark plugs can impact fuel consumption, other factors like dirty air filters, fuel injectors, o r tire pressure can also affect fuel economy. Have these components checked to rule out other issues.
