Why is my Alto Lapin losing power and fuel efficiency?
Recently, my Alto Lapin has been losing power and the fuel efficiency has decreased significantly. Could a clogged air filter be the reason for this? What other filters should I check to improve performance and fuel economy in Pakistan’s dusty environment?

A decrease in power and fuel efficiency in your Alto Lapin can often be linked to a clogged air filter. The air filter is responsible for filtering out dirt, dust, and debris from the air before it enters the engine. A clogged air filter restricts airflow, which can cause the engine to run inefficiently, leading to poor fuel efficiency and loss of power.
Signs of a Clogged Air Filter:
Decreased acceleration and power: The engine may struggle to accelerate because it isn’t getting enough air for combustion.
Reduced fuel efficiency: The engine may burn more fuel to compensate for the lack of air.
Visible dirt and debris on the filter: If you can visually inspect the filter and see it is heavily soiled, this is a clear sign it is clogged.
Solution:
Regularly clean o r replace the air filter. In Pakistan, where dust and pollution levels can be high, its recommended to check the air filter more frequently—every 6 months o r 10,000 kilometers, depending on the driving conditions.
Consider using a high-quality air filter designed for dusty environments to prevent clogging.
