Why is the check engine light on in my Alto Lapin? Could it be a catalytic converter issue?
The check engine light has turned on in my Alto Lapin, and I’m concerned it might be related to the catalytic converter. How can I determine if the catalytic converter is the issue, and what steps should I take if I suspect this is the cause of the warning light?

The check engine light can be triggered by a variety of issues, and a malfunctioning o r damaged catalytic converter is one of the common culprits.
Why the Check Engine Light Could Be On:
Oxygen sensor issues: The oxygen sensors in the exhaust system monitor the performance of the catalytic converter. If they detect that the converter isn’t working efficiently, they will trigger the check engine light.
Catalytic converter inefficiency: If the catalytic converter is failing to convert harmful gases effectively, it may trigger an error in the vehicles engine control module ECM.
Excessive emissions: The check engine light may come on if the vehicle is emitting more pollutants than it should due to a faulty catalytic converter.
Solution:
Get a diagnostic check: Have your mechanic perform a diagnostic scan of the vehicle using an OBD-II scanner. This will reveal whether the catalytic converter is indeed the issue o r if there’s another problem.
Inspect the exhaust system: If the issue is linked to the catalytic converter, it may need to be repaired o r replaced.
