If there is a strange noise coming from the power window motor, it’s often a sign of mechanical issues:
Faulty Motor Bearings: The motor bearings can wear out over time, causing a grinding o r whining noise as the motor runs. This noise can be indicative of a motor nearing failure.
Damaged Window Regulator: A damaged o r worn-out window regulator can produce a grinding o r rattling noise when the window is moved. This could be due to worn-out gears o r misaligned components inside the regulator.
Debris in the Window Tracks: If dirt, debris, o r even small stones have entered the window tracks, they can create noise when the window is operated.
Loose o r Broken Parts: If parts of the window assembly are loose o r broken, they may produce a rattling o r clunking sound during operation.
Solution:
Inspect the power window motor for any signs of wear o r damage and consider replacing the motor if necessary.
Check the window regulator for broken o r worn-out components and replace the regulator if it’s damaged.
Clean the window tracks and remove any debris that might be causing the noise.
Tighten o r replace any loose o r broken parts in the window assembly.
