Wt's the function of thermostat wall

as my cultus has been facing issues of overheating.. one of the mechanic just got out thermostat wall and said it might will resolve the issue?

But i am concern what;s the function of thermostat wall, and what harm a car could get when we remove the thermostat wall?

its called a thermostat valve and its function is to stop water from circulating through radiator when engine is not at is ideal temperature and whenever temperature exceeds from a certain requiredl temperature then valve opens and lets the water circulate through radiator..

in small cars like cultus cuore mehran it is required sometimes to remove it bcz they havent got proper cooling system.. its better to remove it in summers and put it back on in winters..
