Yamaha YBR vs Honda CB150F vs Suzuki GS150SE & GR 150 in Sindh

Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Yamaha YBR, Honda CB150F, and Suzuki GS150SE & GR 150 in Sindh. You might not agree, but here’s what I found:

Yamaha YBR
Pros: Low maintenance, smooth and comfy ride, hardly any vibrations.
Cons: Pricey spare parts, not many skilled mechanics except in Karachi, low resale value.

Honda CB150F
Main Issue: It burns through engine oil. Ive noticed it loses about 300 ml after oil changes, no matter what oil I use. Seems like it’s a piston issue. Resale is low, but better than the YBR.

Suzuki GS150 & 150SE
Pros: Cheap to maintain, strong engine, comfy.
Cons: Poor brakes especially the non-SE, few good mechanics outside Karachi, low resale value.

Suzuki GR 150
Pros: Overall good bike.
Cons: Super pricey and long waits for spare parts.

Hope this helps!

I had a CB150F for two years and rode it all over Pakistan, including some amazing high-altitude passes like Broghil, Lowari, Noori, Batogah, Gyari, and Khunjerab. I also explored the border areas of FATA, like Gawi and Angor Adda. It never gave me any issues, and the low-end torque is unbeatable. I sold it two months ago after putting 56,000 kilometers on it.
