YBR low fuel mileage

YBR low fuel mileage

Ive got a Yamaha YBR 125G, and Ive noticed that its only giving me around 300 kilometers on a full tank. Ive already had the first tuning done and changed the oil. Hows your YBRs mileage? Am I missing something here?

Yeah, Ive experienced that too. The best approach is to fill your tank to the absolute brim, reset the meter, and ride the bike for around 80 to 100 kilometers. Afterward, fill it to the brim again and calculate the actual average. If you notice a significant in the average, then that might be the issue. With a moderate twist of the throttle and shifting gears at around 4,000 RPM, it can easily achieve 40-42 kilometers per liter within the city. I even got 47 kilometers per liter once. Even if its a conservative 40 kilometers per liter, thats 560 kilometers on a full tank. So if youre only getting 300 kilometers, your bike is doing just 21 kilometers per liter, which seems impossible. My Mira manages 22 to 25 kilometers per liter in the city...lol.

Anyway, for your peace of mind, get it tuned, fill it up, ride, refill, and uncover the mystery. Its that simple.
