Toyota Allion 1st Generation Overview
The 1st Generation Toyota Allion was launched in 2001 as a subcompact sedan with front engine and front/four-wheel drive. It shares the same platform as the Toyota Premio but was designed to appeal to a younger audience with its more elegant design. Production of the Toyota Allion lasted for 6 years, from 2001 to 2006, with 4 variants available: A15, A15 G Package, A18, and A18 G Package. Despite competition from cars in the same class, the price of the 1st Generation Toyota Allion was fairly competitive.
Exterior
Exterior-wise, the 2001 Toyota Allion boasts a unique design with sharp upswept headlights, a chrome rectangular grille, and trapezium-styled air intakes. The rear end features angular square-style side swept taillights, a rear wiper, and a chrome trim piece running through the middle. Different rear spoilers and body kits can be installed on the car right from the factory, and options also include rear fog lamps and front Xenon lamps.
Interior
The interior of the 1st Generation Toyota Allion features black plastic trim pieces with fabric-covered front and rear seats. Standard options include automatic climate control, power windows, central power locks, and dual front airbags. Higher-end packages include leather upholstery and wood paneling, and options include satellite navigation, climate control, and a sunroof. Despite being a subcompact sedan, the 2001 Toyota Allion offers a good amount of interior space, comfort, and refinement.
