2024 BMW i4: Updated Range and Pricing Revealed

The 2024 BMW i4 has made its debut in the United States, introducing several exciting updates to the lineup. Notably, a new xDrive40 version has been added, accompanied by improvements in the EPA range and adjustments to pricing. The BMW i4 series now encompasses four distinct versions, each offering a choice between two wheel sizes. These variants comprise the rear-wheel-drive eDrive35 and eDrive40, the newly introduced all-wheel-drive xDrive40, and the high-performance, all-wheel-drive M50.

In terms of pricing, for the 2024 model year, the eDrive35 and eDrive40 versions experience a $200 price hike, commencing at an MSRP of $52,200 and $57,300, respectively. The fresh addition, the xDrive40 with all-wheel drive, starts at $61,600, and opting for 19-inch wheels incurs an additional $600. The top-tier M50 undergoes a $1,000 price increase, now priced at $69,700, and selecting 20-inch wheels comes with an extra cost of $2,500. Additionally, all models include a $995 destination fee.

Moving on to the crucial range and performance details, the 2024 BMW i4 offers a range spanning from 365 km to 494 km. Notably, the entry-level eDrive35 version with 18-inch wheels demonstrates a notable improvement, now boasting a range of 444 km, up from 412 km due to enhanced efficiency. Surprisingly, the xDrive40 provides more range (494 km) than its rear-wheel-drive counterpart (484 km) when equipped with 18-inch wheels.

Concerning charging, BMW indicates that a full AC recharge should take 9-10 hours, while a 10-80% DC fast charge is estimated to take around 30 minutes. Buyers will benefit from two years of complimentary 30-minute charging sessions at the Electrify America charging network.
