The government of Pakistan has awarded the Brownfield Investment Status to Gandhara Nissan under 2016-21 auto policy. Now the company is going to launch the Datsun vehicles in the market in Pakistan.

Gandhara has signed an agreement with Nissan Motor company on 28 March 2018 and under the provision of this agreement, Nissan and Gandhara will work closely in order to develop the plant of Gandhara in Karachi in the world class manufacturing plant. Both the companies have decided to launch the new vehicles in 2019. It is confirmed that Gandhara will make the investment of 4.5 billion Pakistani rupees in 4 years.

Datsun mi-Do:



Datsun mi-Do is the 5 door subcompact FWD hatchback, which is added with 1.6 liter engine and it is mated to either 5 speed manual o r 4 speed automatic transmission to produce 87 hp at 5100 rpm and 140 Nm torque at 2700 rpm. The top speed of the car is 173 km/h and it can reach from 0 to 100 in just 12.2 seconds.

• Rain sensor: The car can detect the rain on the windshield and it can activate the windshield wipers and the windshield wipers and car headlights.

• Power trunk: Open the back with push of button.
• Anti-lock braking system.

Datsun On-Do:



The new model car, Datsun on-Do is the sedan version of mi-Do and it was launched in the market in 2014. This car is shipped with 1.6 liters engine mated with 5 speed manual transmission and this particular sedan has made the 87 hp and 140 Nm torque. The local automakers offer this car in the local market and this car is the good competitor of Honda City Aspire and Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6. the features of this car are similar to hatchback version mi-Do.

Datsun Go:



The strong contenders are going to ship in Pakistan are Datsun Go and it has been looked various times to make the test rounds on Pakistani roads with Datsun Go+. The 5 door hatchback has 1.2 liter 3 cylinder engine in order to produce 68 hp and 104 Nm of torque. The car is provided with five speed manual transmission option and it is spacious and can easily accommodate 5 adults.

The car is provided in the market in different body styles like:

It is said that the company is going to launch the Go and Go+ simultaneously in the local market.

Datsun redi-Go:



Datsun redi-Go is the new entry level crossover, which was introduced in the local market in 2016. The company has introduced this car with 0.8 liter engine and now this car is added with 1.0 liter engine as it is getting popular in the local market. The 0.8 liter petrol engine can produce 54 bhp and 72 Nm of torque, which is coupled to 5 speed manual gearbox.

The car gives 25 km/l mileage and the fuel tank of the car has the capacity of 35 liters. This car is expected to launch in Pakistan and it can be potential threat to Mehran, Wagon-R and Cultus. The vehicle will create the new option for buyers to choose it.
