Back in February 2025, a surprising shift occurred in Pakistan’s auto sector. Chery, once allied with Ghandhara Automotive, decided to go a different route and partnered with NextGen Auto, a subsidiary of Hyundai Nishat Motors. Under this collaboration, Chery announced the launch of Omoda and Jaecoo’s electric and hybrid cars in Pakistan. These vehicles come from Chery International’s sub-brands focused on New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), including BEVs, PHEVs, and FCEVs.
