Auto parts Industry want joint ventures with Thailand

In Bangkok, a meeting was held between Pakistani and Thai auto part makers in which the possibility of joint ventures between the two countries and a planned free trade agreement FTA was discussed.
Chairman PAAPAM Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers, Mashood Ali Khan, was leading the Pakistani delegation in Bangkok.
According to chairman, he is hopeful about the counter visit by Thai delegation in Pakistan in order to pursue bilateral talks. Previously, PAAPAM expressed its worry on the planned FTA with Thailand as it can prove harmful in the future for local industry.
According to a press release, the Thai auto part manufacturers were told about the growth of Pakistani automotive market. PAAPAM also discussed the chance of joint ventures and also asked them to provide list of their components with HS code.
