CDA Launches Electric Buses In Islamabad

Capital Development Authority CDA has announced the launching of the electric public transport buses in the federal capital of Pakistan, Islamabad. CDA has made plan to keep this beautiful city free of pollution by running the electric buses, which will be operated on six different public transport routes. The department will also provide space for charging stations. CDA will construct three base stations for these electric buses as CDA launches electric buses in Islamabad. CDA will issue the tender notice on 12 October 2022 for the bus consultancy and first batch of the e-buses will reach Islamabad by the end of December 2022. CDA has already started the running of the electric buses in twin cities. It is worth mentioning that CDA has already made the plan long before to launch the electric buses in Islamabad.

Route Plan

Capital Development Authority will start operating 13 new bus routes in two phases. In the first phase, CDA will start e-transport on six busy routes and in the second phase, the authority will run the buses for seven other routes.
