Changan Lumin EV Launched at PAPS – View Stunning Images

Changan has officially introduced its first electric vehicle, the Lumin, at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2024. While the company has not disclosed specific specifications, features, or pricing details for the vehicle, officials revealed that the Lumin is equipped with a 28 kW battery, offering a range of approximately 300 kilometers per charge and generating 83 Nm of torque. When discussing the potential launch of the Lumin, Changan representatives stated that there are currently no immediate plans for introduction. They plan to assess the market and price brackets before rolling out locally assembled units of the electric vehicle (EV). For now, attendees can view the completely built-up (CBU) unit on display at the show.

    

    

International Specs and Features
In the absence of local specifications, reports from Chinese media provide insights into the Lumin Corn mini EV, which comes in two variants. The first variant is powered by a 35 kW lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from CATL, producing 48 horsepower and achieving a range of up to 210 kilometers. The second variant utilizes a 30 kW LFP battery from Gotion Hightech, generating 41 horsepower and a range of 150 kilometers. Both variants share a top speed of 101 km/h.

Changan has also released an animated video on its social media channels, showcasing the unique design elements of the Lumin. Highlights include two doors, four seats, circular LED lights, pop-out door handles, a push-start engine, an infotainment screen, an LCD meter, and a climate control system. With the growing popularity of EVs in the local market, we anticipate that Changan Pakistan will soon launch this exciting mini EV.
