Chery's Struggles Amid Economic Chaos in Pakistan
The auto industry is currently facing significant difficulties in maintaining steady business operations, and one of the companies hit hardest by these challenges is Chery.

Chery's Sales Decline Continues
According to a recent report from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturer's Association (PAMA), Ghandhara Automobile Limited (GAL), the authorized distributor of Chery vehicles in Pakistan, experienced another month of poor sales performance. In June 2023, GAL sold a combined total of only 24 units of Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro.

Chery's Sales Performance Over the Past Months
AutoXfinity highlights that this is the third consecutive month of declining sales for the automaker. In April 2023, Chery sold 20 units, followed by 25 units in May 2023. It's worth noting that the company's best sales month in 2023 was in January when it managed to sell an impressive 258 units of both SUV models combined.
In the 2022-23 fiscal year, GAL sold a total of 1,268 units, marking a 23% decrease compared to Haval's sales during the same period.
