Suzuki Mehran is getting popular in the local market and among car lovers across Pakistan. The main reason for the success of this car is no competition in the country. You cannot find other car in 800 cc category in the country. Pak Suzuki has not upgraded its generation and they have introduced their safety features and there is change in its outlook and the car remained top choice of local car lovers. 1. No Safety in Mehran:

Suzuki Mehran was the collection of metal, fabric and electronics on four wheels. This car has no safety features, except the seat belts on front seats and Pak Suzuki does not add the airbags, ABS o r disc brakes. You can find the driving experience dangerous in Mehran and the company should consider to discontinue it years ago.

2. Same Generation for 3 Decades

Suzuki never upgraded the generation for last three decades, which is long time and the company changed some parts like slightly changing look of front grille o r shape of headlights, and other than that it was similar car.

3. No New Features in Mehran:

Suzuki did not make changes on exterior and interior side of the car and during three decades, the manufacturers could have installed power winders o r power steering o r body colored side view mirrors. The company continued selling this featureless car to the local customers. The essential feature including AC was in ‘top of the line’ variant of the vehicle and there are serious questions about the performance of the car.

4. Arrival of Japanese Cars:

The arrival of Japanese cars hurt the domination of the Suzuki Mehran in the local market and these cars have more specs and features like mileage, safety and comfort than Mehran. Now the company has discontinued and it launched the car, Suzuki Alto so that the company can compete with Japanese cars in 660 cc category.

5. High Price:

Because of discontinuation in 2019, price of new Mehran was Rs.8.60,000, which is high and you can also see the features and specs and the customers can have many choices in Japanese cars in budget range and it was great decision to end Mehran across the country.
