DFSK Car Prices Increase March 2023

Regal Automobile Industries Limited has raised the price of DFSK Glory 580 Pro by Rs. 490,000 to Rs. 6,990,000, due to the imposition of a 25% General Sales Tax (GST). This new price will be in effect from March 14, 2023.

DFSK has provided some terms and conditions for consumers:

• The suggested retail price is inclusive of taxes and dealer commission and is the maximum price per unit ex-factory.

• Full payment made on March 13, 2023, will be accepted at the old price.

• Any impact on the price due to factors such as changes in Pakistani rupee parity against the US dollar, government levies, tariff structure, fiscal policies, import policies, etc., will be the responsibility of the customer.

• The above prices are provisional and subject to change without prior notice, and the prevailing price at the time of delivery will apply.

• Bookings made with full payment prior to the issuance of this circular will be delivered at the old price.

Previously, on February 20, the price of DFSK Glory 580 Pro was increased from Rs. 6,200,000 to Rs. 6,500,000 after a jump of Rs. 300,000. This price hike was due to the imposition of 1% extra GST by the federal government on all items.

However, under the new mini-budget, the government has imposed a 25% GST on all luxury items, including all SUVs, which has caused a fresh wave of price increases in the local market. Additionally, this new tax slab now includes 1400cc and above cars, CUVs, and 4×4 cabin vehicles.

The auto industry's overall situation remains uncertain and bleak as LCs by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) remain closed, and the rupee continues to devalue against the PKR. Given these circumstances, it would not be surprising to see another price jump shortly.
