E-Challan Payment Through BOP ATM and Android Application
An agreement was signed between Punjab Safe Cities Authority PSCA and Bank of Punjab on 7 November 2018, which will give the easy access to the payment of E-challan through ATM’s of Bank of Punjab.
Now the citizens of Punjab can make the payment of their e-challan through any ATM of Bank of Punjab. The E-challan system is already enforced through which thousands of the tickets are issued on the daily basis on the violations of the traffic rules. The violators had to pay the amount of E-challan through the branches of Bank of Punjab. But PSCA signed the agreement with Bank of Punjab to give the facilities of the latest technology and keeping in view of the long queues to wait for their turns so that it provides the facility of the e-challan through ATM.
According to the official sources, the chief operating offer COO PSCA and group head of retail banking of Bank of Punjab signed on the agreement, which was conducted in the headquarter of PSCA located at Qurban Lines, Lahore and PSCA Chief Financial Officer, Nisar Ahmed Cheema along with the senior staff and technical staff of the bank were present on this occasion.
It is imperative to mention here that the Android application is also under completion for the payment of e-challan online, which will be more convenient for the people. It is told to the public during the ceremony that the application will be released by Punjab Safe Cities Authority so that people can get more and more facility. When this application will be released, it will be provided on the play store and the users will download it easily on their smart phones. The application will give the help to the users to get the status of their e-challan on their national identity card and registration number. The users will be a click away to know their current status and make the payment through the BOP mobile banking.

Now the citizens can find the status of their current e-challan on their CNIC numbers on the online portal of PSCA. The fines of the e-challan can be deposited through all branches of BOP. The initiatives being taken by PSCA should be appreciated because they are providing the facility to pay the challan through a single click on their smart phones. The authority should develop a complete user friendly application, which makes the payment of fines of all e-challans
