Exciting News: Islamabad's "Car City" for Car Sale

To enhance the convenience of vehicle sales and purchases, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has taken the initiative to establish a "Car City" in Islamabad. This decision came during a meeting focusing on Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) affairs, where officials were tasked with formulating a comprehensive plan for this endeavor.

During the meeting, an update on ongoing projects by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), the performance of Islamabad Police, and the issue of illegal encroachments in the capital were presented. Caretaker PM Kakar recognized the traffic and parking challenges caused by showrooms in Islamabad and instructed the development of a comprehensive plan for a Car City. This dedicated area will serve as a suitable location for vehicle exhibitions, auctions, and sales within Islamabad.

Furthermore, officials revealed plans for the introduction of 160 new buses to enhance public transportation in Islamabad. The PM emphasized the need for a centralized digital system for vehicle registration nationwide. He also stressed the importance of issuing fitness certificates for older vehicles in accordance with internationally recognized environmental pollution standards.

In response to the growing concern of drug-related issues in educational institutions, the police have been directed to take rigorous measures to combat this problem. Additionally, the PM urged for decisive action against illegal encroachments on CDA lands, including Margalla National Park. These measures reflect the government's commitment to improving various aspects of Islamabad's infrastructure and addressing social challenges.
