Exclusive Number Plate Auction in Dubai

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced an auction for 90 exclusive number plates, set to be held on October 12 in Dubai. This auction will offer bidders the chance to acquire some of the most sought-after license plates in the region, featuring various unique number combinations.

Variety of Distinctive Plates

The auction will showcase an array of 2, 3, 4, and 5-digit number plates, including prestigious combinations like 'AA17' and 'V96'. The plates available will span a range of codes, including AA, L, N, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z, offering a wide selection for interested buyers.

Registration Details

Bidders can begin registration for the event on October 7. The auction will commence at 4:30 PM on October 12 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai. Participants can register online through the RTA’s website (www.rta.ae), via the Dubai Drive app, or in person at one of the RTA's Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Al Ramool, Deira, or Al Barsha.

Limited Seats Available

Due to limited seating in the bidding hall, the RTA encourages early registration to secure a spot. However, on-site registration will also be available on the day of the event, starting from 2:00 PM. Priority will be given to those who have registered in advance.

Auction Fees and Requirements

A 5% VAT will apply to all number plate purchases. Bidders must have a traffic file in Dubai and provide a security cheque of AED 25,000 payable to the RTA. Additionally, a non-refundable auction fee of AED 120 is required, which can be paid through multiple channels including the RTA website, Customer Happiness Centres, or the Dubai Drive app.
