First Electric Car Company Officially Launched in Pakistan
Working on the implementation of the National Electric vehicle Policy NEVP, the first electric car company ZOTYE has been launched in Pakistan. The company, Topsun Motors is launched in partnership with China. The company cut the ribbon on its showroom called Topsun MR Motors on in Jail Road Lahore on 3rd January 2020.

According to the media reports the Provincial Minister of the Punjab for housing, urban development and public health engineering, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed inaugurated the showroom along with Malik Riaz, the managing director of Topsun Motors.

The company introduced 4 different models alongwith a hatchback and three models of JMC during the launched ceremony of the electric car company in Pakistan. Furthermore, this includes the 1000CC Zyote’s Z100 hatchback, the first-ever electric car in Pakistan’s local industry.The company has also launched the JMC Single Cabin along with a double cabin variant. The car prices of these variants are given below and are available for booking.

It is necessary to point out here that these cars are powered with engine and the prices are inclusive of withholding tax. Currently, the company is waiting for the implementation of the NEVP before launching the electric-powered variant of Z100, which is already available in global markets.
As per details of the company, the range of electric Z100 will be 300KM on a single battery charge. This car will be available for sale at the price tag of around PKR 1.9-2 million. The vehicleis powered with an engine of 1000CC coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. The company is planning to launch its automatic variant as well. Currently, these models are being imported as completely built units CBU.
