Govt Investigate Automakers For Low Production Of Vehicles

The automakers in local auto sector have a very low rate of vehicles production capacity and the government is going to investigate the factors behind the low production of vehicles. The government is taking very strong initiatives for the development and stabilization the local auto industry.

The federal government has ordered the Ministry of Industries and Production to investigate that reasons and factor behind the low production of vehicles by automakers.

According to a recent report, the automakers have refused to fulfill the demand of the market due to price hike and many other factors affecting the production.
In a meeting, Prima Minister, Imran Khan Directed Hammad Azhar, Minister for Industries and Production to take a review of the production of auto sector locally.

According to cabinet, the automakers are not producing auto parts locally and they prefer to import the parts which are worth in cost.

PM further added that a huge investment is requirement to manufacture auto parts for electric vehicles in the local auto sector.

He said:

Unfortunately, policies in Pakistan keep changing putting the investors’ plans for making a huge investment at risk,”

Prime Minister, Imran Khan, further said that this will only be policy if government to launch a proper policy to regulate the auto sector to produce auto parts locally.
