Great news for commuters! The Gujranwala Motorway link road is now open for traffic, announced by caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, on Twitter. This newly opened expressway, spanning 15.2 km, connects M5 with Benazir Chowk, drastically reducing travel time between Lahore and Gujranwala to just 45 minutes.

Initially slated for completion on December 25, 2023, the project experienced a minor delay but has now come to fruition.
