Haval Second-Gen Big Dog Hi4 SUV Hits Market at Rs. 70 Lac

The eagerly awaited Haval Second-Generation Big Dog Hi4 plug-in hybrid SUV has been officially introduced in China, bringing a host of impressive features and capabilities. With a price of 179,800 yuan (around 70 Lac PKR), this new model is set to make a significant impact in the automotive sector.

The Second-Generation Big Dog Hi4 retains much of its iconic design, featuring a sleek yet robust exterior with a unique polygonal grille and the distinctive blue Haval emblem. Round headlights add to the SUV's commanding presence on the road.

Key updates include a new "Hi4" badge on the rear and enhanced tire specifications (245/55), underscoring its versatility as a light off-road vehicle. With a ground clearance of 200 mm and outstanding driving dynamics, the Hi4 offers seven driving modes, including economy, sport, mud, and sand, to ensure optimal performance on various terrains.

The SUV is equipped with advanced driver assistance features, including a suite of 22 sensors comprising ultrasonic radars, millimeter-wave radars, and cameras, ensuring enhanced safety and precise driving experiences.

Customers can choose from five exterior colors, with dimensions of 4705/1908/1780 mm and a wheelbase of 2810 mm. Inside, the cabin boasts a 14.6-inch central control screen, a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a head-up display (HUD) for intuitive access to various functions.

Additional features include wireless mobile phone charging, voice recognition, over-the-air (OTA) updates, Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity, and remote control via a mobile app. The standard configuration accommodates five passengers, with a trunk capacity of 483 liters, expandable to 1,362 liters with the rear seats folded down.

Powering the vehicle is Great Wall Motor's Hi4 plug-in hybrid system, which combines a 1.5T engine and dual motors with a 2-speed DHT. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 123 kW and peak torque of 243 Nm, while the front and rear motors provide a combined torque of 750 Nm. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds and has a pure electric range of 102 km (NEDC), supported by a 19.09 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack with DC fast charging capability.

With its state-of-the-art technology, dynamic performance, and luxurious amenities, the Haval Second-Generation Big Dog Hi4 sets a new standard for premium SUVs in the Chinese market. It remains to be seen whether Haval will offer this model in Pakistan in the future.
