Honda Elevate Makes Debut in India Starting at INR 11.0 Lac

The highly-anticipated Honda Elevate has officially hit the Indian market, sporting an enticing starting price of INR 11.0 lac. Honda's latest SUV celebrated its global debut in India back in June and swiftly entered mass production in the following month. The model is being offered in four distinct variants, namely SV, V, VX, and ZX, with the top-tier ZX version commanding a lofty INR 16.24 lac price tag.

Honda's venture into the mid-size premium SUV segment is an essential strategic move. Lacking a formidable SUV in its lineup, the company had been relegated to the periphery, concluding the 2022-2023 fiscal year with a modest market share of 2.3%. Now, the automaker is placing its bets on the Honda Elevate to generate substantial sales figures and reclaim its former dominance in the Indian market, where it once held a commanding position.

Powering the new Honda Elevate is a 1.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that delivers a respectable 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. This DOHC engine, also featured in the new City model, can be paired with either a CVT or a 6-speed manual gearbox, effectively sending power to the front wheels while adhering to India's stringent Bharat Stage 6 emission regulations.

The Honda Elevate doesn't skimp on features, offering a wide range of amenities, including a prominent 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also boasts a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display, Honda Connect telematics with smartwatch compatibility, 17-inch wheels, a sunroof, a reverse camera, LaneWatch, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, and the comprehensive Honda Sensing suite. The latter includes the Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, Auto High Beam, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lead Car Departure Notification. doesn't skimp on features, offering a wide range of amenities, including a prominent 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Competing in India's fiercely contested B-segment SUV market, the Honda Elevate faces stiff competition from rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. With its compelling features and competitive pricing, the Honda Elevate is poised to make a strong impact in this bustling segment.
