Honda Unveils BR-V N7X Edition at IIMS 2024

Honda has introduced the new BR-V N7X Edition at the ongoing 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). The N7X, which stands for "New 7-Seater eXcitement," features several aesthetic upgrades inspired by a concept that was unveiled nearly three years ago.

Three Variants and Pricing

The N7X Edition is available in three variants: E CVT, Prestige CVT, and Prestige with Honda Sensing. The E CVT starts at 319.4 million rupiah (PKR 56.99 lac), the Prestige CVT at 343.4 million rupiah (PKR 61.27 lac), and the top-tier Prestige with Honda Sensing at 363.4 million rupiah (PKR 64.85 lac).
Aesthetic Upgrades
The BR-V N7X Edition comes with a new dark chrome front grille, a variant-specific emblem, chrome fog lamp garnish (only for Prestige variants), and an aero kit that includes front and rear under spoilers and side skirts. The door mirrors, door handles, shark fin antenna, tailgate spoiler, and 17-inch wheels are all finished in black.

Paint Options
In terms of paint options, the N7X Edition offers a special Sand Khaki Pearl finish, along with Premium Opal White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, and Meteoroid Grey Metallic.

Powertrain and Performance
Apart from the visual changes, the N7X Edition is similar to the standard BR-V range. It retains the 1.5L i-VTEC four-cylinder DOHC engine, which produces 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox.

LED Headlamps and Safety Features
LED headlamps are standard for the BR-V, with the top-spec variant featuring an automatic on/off function. The Prestige with Honda Sensing also includes driver assistance systems such as LaneWatch, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane centering assist, and front departure alert.

Features and Interior
The E CVT variant comes with remote engine start, keyless entry and start, a 4.2-inch multi-info display, a 7-inch touchscreen head unit, fabric upholstery, four airbags, a reverse camera, and automatic air-conditioning. The Prestige variants add leather upholstery, two additional airbags (for a total of 6), and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
