Honri Ve EV: First Locally Assembled Unit Unveiled

Earlier this month, Eco-Green Motors, a division of Dewan Motors, officially announced the start of local production for its electric vehicle (EV), the Honri Ve. After successfully launching its first electric vehicle in Pakistan, Dewan Motors followed up by introducing a new variant, the Honri Ve 3.0, in June 2024. The company continues to expand its EV portfolio, aiming to strengthen its presence in the growing electric vehicle market in the country.

Assembly Certification for Honri Ve 2.0 and 3.0
An official from Eco-Green Motors revealed that the company received a manufacturing certificate for assembling both the Honri Ve 2.0 and 3.0 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) at their Sajawal factory. This certification, issued by the Engineering Development Board (EDB), marks the first of its kind in Pakistan for local EV assembly. The certification is expected to pave the way for further development in the country’s electric vehicle industry, opening up opportunities for more companies to join the market.

First Locally Assembled Honri Ve Rolled Out
Today, Eco-Green Motors celebrated the milestone of rolling out the first locally assembled unit of the Honri Ve. Company officials and workers gathered as the vehicle rolled off the assembly line, marking a significant achievement for the local automotive industry. This move could lead to increased local production of EVs, making electric vehicles more accessible in Pakistan while potentially lowering prices and improving availability for consumers.
