Hyundai Reveals Refreshed Bayon Model

After a span of three years since its debut, Hyundai has revealed the updated Bayon facelift, showcasing a bold and robust design. The enhancements extend to interior and tech upgrades, incorporating a comprehensive array of intelligent connectivity and safety features. Specifically designed for European markets, the Bayon stands as Hyundai's smallest SUV in the European lineup, positioned beneath the Kona model.

The rejuvenated Hyundai Bayon, a B-segment crossover SUV, introduces a sharp and distinctive design that includes a front LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) bar seamlessly integrated to form a Seamless Horizon light signature. The front bumper's shape and pattern, along with the radiator grille, have undergone enhancements to create a more pronounced and rugged appearance.

At the rear, a redesigned bumper complements the addition of newly designed 16- and 17-inch wheels. The color palette for the Bayon includes a total of nine exterior colors, incorporating four new shades: Lumen Grey Pearl, Meta Blue Pearl, Lucid Lime Metallic, and Vibrant Blue Pearl. Additionally, there is an option for a two-tone roof in Phantom Black, which can be paired with seven of the available exterior colors.

The 2024 Hyundai Bayon places a strong emphasis on advanced connectivity technology. Standard features now include a 4.2-inch LCD cluster and a 10.25-inch Audio Visual Navigation Screen (AVN). The Bayon continues to offer popular features from the pre-facelift version, such as the optional 10.25-inch configurable digital cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, latest update to Bluelink® telematics and wireless charging,

Enhancements to the state-of-the-art digital cockpit and top-line infotainment features include the introduction of Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates. The audio experience is elevated with the inclusion of a premium Bose sound system, comprising 8 speakers.

The refreshed model embraces LED technology, replacing lightbulbs for increased in-car illumination. Optional LED Room/Map and Sunvisor lamps are available, along with the option of multicolor front ambient lighting technology, allowing passengers to customize the interior lighting according to their mood.

In the safety department, the 2024 Bayon introduces several semi-autonomous driving features, including Lane Following Assist (LFA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA). A notable addition is the second-generation eCall based on the 4G network, automatically alerting emergency services in the event of airbag deployment following an accident. Alternatively, occupants can activate this feature with the press of a button.
