Imported Cars Stuck at Karachi Port

The government of Pakistan issued the notification and the use car importers have been in the problem as thousands of the cars are stuck at the Karachi port and they are waiting for the clearance.

The automobiles are included in the big imports of Pakistan and the SRO was implemented in order to balance out the trade deficit by controlling the massive surge of the imports. The importers and buyers have been struck with the enough increase in the taxes.
Commercial Importss

There are different reasons to implement the taxes on the import of the cars and it helps to discourage the commercial imports. The residents of Pakistan have been resorting to imported vehicles for long time and most car imports are made for commercial reasons. This strategy leave the bad impact on the economy of Pakistan and the money goes offshore and the authorities are able to extract the revenue from insubstantial custom duties.

The largest contributors of the economy are the car companies in Pakistan o r other countries and the vehicles are always in heavy demands and they are provided at the high rates. The tax paid on these vehicles is the big figure and the citizens do not buy it from the local brands and the tax element is technically wasted and they are paid to the companies, which are already offshore.
Massive Deadlock.

The implementation of the tax policy have caused the number of vehicles and there are some of the cars, which are ordered by the civilian for non commercial usage and they need to be declared uncleared and unlocked at ports of Pakistan. The importers have halted about 6000-7000 vehicles due to non-payment of taxes. The withdrawal of the new policy can help in continuing the import of vehicles and maintain considerable revenue commercially.

The officials of the Federal Board of Revenue relaxed the custom duties on imports of the gifts, personal baggage and residence transfer schemes. These exemptions were granted to vehicles, which were ordered before the change in policy and the issuance of the aforementioned SRO. It helps to clear 6000 vehicles, which were ordered by the local people for their personal use. If the exemption is granted, they required the importers to verify that their transactions were non commercial. They had to prove that the payments were made from the bank accounts of Pakistani nationals. The affairs suggested the immediate release of blocked vehicles and the general base importing vehicles on the non commercial basis can avoid the problems.
