Increase in Car Sales by 21.5% in May

Car sales are reached to the new high of 20,000+ units for month of May 2017. Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association PAMA sales are by the 21.5% and during the same period of last year, the sales of car were 17,052 units and the sales of car during this year are 20,720 units.

Pak Suzuki Motor Company PSMC and Indus Motor Company IMC got more sales than expected. The Topline Securities stated that PSMC sold total 11,100 units while 10,400 units were expected. IMC sold total 4,900 units while the expected units were 4,400.

Honda Close to Beating IMC in terms of sales of Vehicles

The BRV of Honda is getting strong numbers in sale and the company has sold total 527 BRV in April and 876 in May. The Honda Company sold total 4,660 units showing the good 86% growth year on year. The sales of IMC were decreased by 11% year on year to show the sales of Corolla and it was fallen by 19% year on year. Now the company is making efforts to enhance the production for light commercial vehicles and sports utility vehicles.

The sales of PSMC were increased by 24% if you compare it with the same period of the last year. The growth of the vehicle was due to the increase in demand for the vehicles, Suzuki Wagon R and new Cultus. The sales of Wagon R were increased by 172% year on year with 1927 units sold during the period and the new Suzuki Cultus o r Celerio was recorded as 2000 units during this period.

Sales of Tractor and Light Commercial Vehicle

The sales of the light commercial vehicle and SUV / 4 WD were continued their trend to go upward during the 11 months of current fiscal year 2016-2017. The company recorded the increase in sale of vehicle is 19% year on year. The sales of tractors are raised with the enhancement in demand with the growth of 65% year on year during the first 11 months of financial year 2016-2017.

There are several factors like better crop yields, reduced GST, subsidies on the fertilizers are expected to aid the sales of tractor in the future. The sales of the vehicle will be continued to rise in future by paying the thanks to China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects and various other projects of the infrastructure development.
