ITP E-Challan Agreement with NBP

National bank of Pakistan and Islamabad Traffic Police signed an agreement in the grand ceremony held in IG office Islamabad for E-Challan and the payment system in Islamabad Capital precinct. The partnership of ITP with NBP will enable the departments to issue paperless challan to driver through the hand held smart phone
mobile application with the provision of electronic receipt to driver through SMS.
The E-Challan is the state of the art solution, which is being deployed by NBP and it will digitize the issuance mechanism and the payment collection at JCash JS bank branchless banking outlets and through their mobile wallets.
CEO and President of National Bank of Pakistan, Mr Saeed Ahmed and Inspector General Islamabad, Mr. Sultan-e-Azam Temuri signed the agreement in the presence of senior officials like SEVP & Group Chief Payment services and Digital Banking Group from NBP, Mr, Mudassir H. Khan, SEVP/Group Head Digital Banking from JS Bank, Mr. Khurram Sheikh and SSP Traffic, Mr Malik Matloob and others.
The NBP and ITP has taken the initiative to bring the transparency and convenience for general public of Islamabad and ITP police official to receive real time confirmation of e-challan with opening of thousands of the outlets for the payment of challans for the facility of the public. Now they do not have to look for the bank to pay the challans standing in the long queues.
Mr Azfar Jamal, EVP / Head of Innovation & E-Banking for NBP, Mr Malik Matloob, SSP Traffic Islamabad and Noman Azhar SVP / Country Head Branchless Banking and Digital Implementation for JS Bank conceived this solution of the deposit of the E-Challan and they have made their tremendous efforts with their team to bring this initiative into reality.
Mr Saeed Ahmed President of NBP said on this occasion that this service offered the simplification of work and it would help to save time and minimize book entry error and everything will be done correctly. When you leverage the financial expertise of the bank couple with extensive network of J-Cash and other partner organizations, they strive to provide the digital solution to meet the financial requirements of general public of Pakistan. NBP will add more payment channels to increase the facility to the general public like M-wallet, ATMs and Plastic etc.
IG Islamabad, Mr Temuri said that this was the special day for Islamabad Traffic police and it took lead to provide the digital solution as the first initiative. When the Safe City initiatives are implemented, they will make effort to make extensive use of the digital facilities. He showed his pleasure to make the partnership with NBP and it resulted in this solution and designed the facilities for the traffic officials and also for the general public.
He further added that the provision of the necessity of time is the great convenience and NBP is taking lead with other strategic partners to ensure ITP and the general public experience for the ease of the technology.
Mr Khurram Sheikh, Group Head Digital Banking for JS Bank said on this great achievement that their partnership with NBP and Islamabad Police is wonderful and excellent opportunity and they hopes for bringing the positive change for the people of Pakistan. He further said that the digitization of person to government payment will become the most effective ways to include the people financially and help to build their eco system in Pakistan. NBP will add all its partner organizations to collect the Jazzcash, easypaisa and others.
