Kama Electric Trucks Will Debut in Pakistan Next Year

Dewan Farooque Motors Limited, a Karachi-based automobile manufacturer and importer, has announced its plans to locally assemble Electric Trucks Pakistan in collaboration with a Chinese partner. The first model, named “Kama,” is set to debut in the first quarter of 2025. Built on the robust framework of the diesel-powered Shehzore model, the Kama trucks signify a major milestone for the Pakistan Electric Truck Launch. Testing is already underway, with completely built units (CBUs) arriving in the country ahead of local assembly.

The Kama electric truck is designed to address the challenges of high fuel costs and environmental degradation. With a range of 300 kilometers and rapid charging capabilities, this light commercial vehicle offers a sustainable alternative for businesses. The Kama Electric Trucks Arrival Pakistan is expected to reduce operational costs while aligning with global efforts to combat climate change. Its affordability and eco-friendly nature could make it a popular choice in the country’s commercial transport sector.

Pakistan’s National Electric Vehicles Policy (NEVP), introduced in 2019, aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles, including Electric Trucks Debut Pakistan. By 2030, the policy targets 30% of all passenger and heavy-duty truck sales to be electric, with a more ambitious goal of 90% by 2040. The Kama truck plays a pivotal role in achieving these objectives, paving the way for a greener and more sustainable transportation system in Pakistan.

Kashif Riaz, Director of Projects at Dewan Farooque Motors, highlighted the untapped potential for local EV production. With the availability of resources and skilled labor, Pakistan is well-positioned to achieve 100% localized manufacturing. The country’s abundant lithium resources offer the opportunity to produce batteries domestically, reducing reliance on imports. The launch of Electric Trucks 2025 Pakistan could transform Pakistan into a global exporter of electric vehicles and components.

Riaz emphasized the dual economic and environmental benefits of adopting electric vehicles. Besides lowering emissions and operational costs, the widespread use of EVs could help Pakistan earn carbon credits from international organizations like the World Bank. To fully capitalize on these opportunities, Riaz urged the government to offer more support through additional duty exemptions and incentives for local EV manufacturers. With the successful Electric Trucks Arrival Pakistan, the country could take significant strides toward sustainable economic growth and environmental preservation.
