Kia Sportage Special Edition Introduces New Emblem

Kia Motors Pakistan has rolled out a minor update for its crossover SUV, the Kia Sportage, but there's a catch. The upgrade, which includes a new emblem, is only available in a special limited edition. The company announced this enhancement on social media, stating, “Introducing a striking new look for Kia Sportage Limited Edition with a distinct new emblem.” This means that only the limited "Clear White" edition of the Sportage will feature this new emblem.

No Price Increase with the New Look

The limited edition update does not come with a price increase, which is a relief for potential buyers. The refreshed Sportage was recently spotted being transported to Kia dealerships, indicating that it will soon be available for purchase.

Details of the Kia Sportage Limited Edition

In November 2023, Kia Motors introduced the “Clear White” Sportage Limited Edition. This variant includes a black front grille, lower grille, side skirts, fog lamps, and a distinctive new emblem. Our first-look review of this edition highlighted several changes in both the exterior and interior.

Exterior Modifications

The front of the Sportage Limited Edition remains largely the same with fog lights, halogen lights, projection lamps, DRLs, and LED indicators. However, a black trim now accentuates the bumper. The Kia logo has been changed to black, and the front grille features a black chrome finish, replacing the previous plastic front spoiler with a glossy black version.

This edition is equipped with black alloy wheels and 19-inch rims with KUMHO tires sized 245/45/R19, compared to the standard Sportage's 18-inch rims and 225/55/R18 tires. These wider tires enhance the vehicle’s aggressive stance. The window garnish and door guards have been upgraded to a gloss black finish, giving the SUV a sleeker appearance.

The rear of the limited edition features additional minor tweaks, including blacked-out Kia and Sportage badging and other chrome elements, now finished in gloss black. These changes are more noticeable on the white edition than on the black edition, giving it a unique look.

Interior Enhancements

Inside the limited edition Sportage, the beige interior has been replaced with a gloss black theme. The new dark upholstery is complemented by leather padding on the door panels, although the roof liner and panoramic roof remain unchanged.

Despite the overall black theme, the silver accents on the console, infotainment system, and cup holders remain, which might have looked better in black.

The safety and technology features of the Sportage remain unchanged, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Electronic Parking Brake, Parking Sensors, Downhill Assist, Auto Hold, Diff Lock, Drive Modes, and Cruise Control. Rear AC vents are standard in all variants, and the charging ports, USB inlets, and 12V ports remain the same, though a wireless charging spot is still missing.
