Lahore Enhances Traffic Flow with Six New Zones
To address the growing traffic challenges in Lahore, authorities have introduced six new traffic management sectors across the city. These newly designated sectors aim to streamline traffic flow improvement Lahore and improve efficiency at key intersections and roadways. The initiative reflects a broader effort to enhance Lahore traffic management and reduce congestion.
The traffic sectors have been established in the Sadar Division and Cantt Division, with specific areas receiving focused attention. In the Sadar Division, traffic management near Jati Umra has been enhanced to ensure smoother vehicle movement. Similarly, the new traffic zones Lahore target high-traffic areas for better regulation. The Nawan Kot Traffic Sector includes critical areas such as Darbar Shah Fareed, Sabzazar Chowk, Raheem Store, Gold Market, Yateem Khana, and Samanabad Chowk. These areas, known for heavy congestion, are now part of a targeted strategy under the new traffic plan Lahore to improve flow.
In the Shera Kot Traffic Sector, traffic control has been extended to busy locations like Babu Sabu Chowk, Chhota Babu Sabu Chowk, Liaquat Chowk, Niazi Adda, City Adda, and Abdullah Adda. These efforts aim to alleviate bottlenecks and ensure smoother travel. Similarly, the Niaz Baig Traffic Sector focuses on critical points such as Motorway Naka, Thokar Chowk, Katar Bund Road, and Azmir Chowk. This sector plays a vital role in Lahore traffic enhancement, especially along the Thokar Chowk to Military Cut stretch.
The Multan Road Traffic Sector has been tasked with regulating traffic in areas like Military Depot Cut, Hanjrwal, Multan Chungi, Mandi Stop, Awan Town, Kharrak Nala Chowk, and Bijli Ghar Chowk. These measures are part of a broader Lahore traffic zones initiative aimed at easing movement along one of the city's busiest routes. Additionally, the New Airport Traffic Sector focuses on areas such as Chitral Lane Bahar Shah Road, Askari 10, Burki Road, Paragon City, and DHA Phases 6, 7, and 8, ensuring better access to the airport.
The Bedian Road Traffic Sector addresses traffic issues at Bhatha Chowk, PAF Golf Club, Gohawa, Bedian Road, Elite Center, DHA Phase 6, and Raya Club. By managing these areas, the sector enhances access to residential and commercial hubs. Another key addition is the Bhobatian Traffic Sector, which oversees Bhobatian Kachhi Kothi Cut, Bhobatian Chowk, and Raiwind Road, including Qazzalbash Chowk, Khayaban Chowk, Dubai Chowk, and Bhobatian Chowk. These sectors collectively represent a significant step in achieving Lahore congestion solution and ensuring smoother travel across the city.
Other important points covered under the new system include the Mosque U-Turn on Motorway Abdul Sattar Edhi Road, OPF U-Turn, LDA Society, Jubilee Town Society, Bhobatian Chowk, Mohlanwal Slip on Multan Road, Shaam Chowk, and Shahkam Chowk to Bahria Town, ending at the Ring Road bridge. These enhancements, part of the newly introduced traffic sectors Lahore, aim to provide sustainable solutions for the city's growing traffic demands. By addressing high-congestion areas with targeted efforts, Lahore traffic updates now indicate a more organized and efficient system for residents and commuters.
