Honda has made the plan to launch the all-new 2023 EMI-e electric scooter in Europe during mid-2023. This company has the objective of ‘carbon neutrality by 2040’ and the automaker has made the plan to exhibit 10 or more electric two-wheelers by 2025 across the world. The moniker “EM” indicates Electric Moped and the two-wheeler has the scooter design with short wheelbase and flat floorboard to allow for simple mounting and dismounting work clothes. EM1-e will be excellent for the short distance journeys.
The scooter will be added with 40-km range from single Honda mobile power pack battery. It will be added with powerful batteries to charge it with the domestic current. The company will introduce official specifications and features of EM1-e on its exhibition in the market.
The company gave the brief of the motorcycle business plan in September this year and it shows its intention to release the bikes in China, Asia, Europe and Japan. The bikes, which are offered, are comprised of commuter bikes, electric scooter, crossover bikes, street bikes and cruiser bikes.
Honda has divided the bikes into three categories, which are electric bicycles (EB), electric moped (EM) and electric vehicles (EV). The EB category has the top speed of 25 km/h or less and EM will have the top speed of 50 km/h or less. The top speed of EV is over 50 km/h.
The company will introduce seven mopeds, three large bikes and small trail bike for the children. The company has not disclosed the detailed information of the new coming products or their prices.
