Lexus has started the testing of the electric vehicle with manual gearbox. The company shared the video of an electric Lexus, which is driven with manual gear shifts. The customers can view that Lexus Tests Fake Manual Gearbox for EVs.

The base of the research prototype is UX 300e and it is the first all-electric vehicle of the company. It is modified with RPM meter, manual gear lever and the clutch pedal. You can also find the performance map and gear, which were adjusted to stimulate the manual transmission in test car. 

The report shows that silent UX 300e prototype stimulates the manual gear shifts and the incorporation manual gearbox hazards including stalling and loading up on the slopes to make the experience realistic. 

The vehicle has the software-based technology, which can replicate the competitors driving experience. The company made the claim that EV motor performance mapping will let the driver to pick the different performance levels. 

The company has introduced the Lexus Electrified Sport this year, which is one of the future EVs for the car enthusiasts. But the company did not share the details of the revealing of the car but it is found that the company is working on the production version and Electrified Sport.
