Losing Toyota, Sazgar Launches Locally Assembled Haval H6

Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SEWL) is going to launch the first locally assembled car beating Toyota Indus Motors Company (IMC) this time. The company has exhibited its newly launched car, Haval H6 Hybrid electric vehicle. This is the biggest development as Haval H6 HEV has made debut in the market and it was launched in China in August 2022.

Toyota is making plan to launch the first locally assembled hybrid car (Corolla cross SUV) within few months. But Sazgar left them behind and it marched ahead by launching the Haval H6 Hybrid and it got the big advantage. SUV has the strong competition with MG HS PHEV, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.

This car has the features of familiar turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine to make 167 hp and 285 Nm of torque. When you combine the output of the car, you will get 1.8 kW electric motor and it makes the handsome 240 hp and 530 Nm of torque.

The hybrid powertrain gives the power to the front wheels through 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission of Haval. GWM made the claim that the electric only has the range of 55 km in hybrid variant.

This SUV has different advanced features, which are:

6 Airbags
360º Camera
Traction and Stability Control
Hill Start Assist and Descent Control
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Collision Warning
Autonomous Braking
Adaptive Cruise Control
Wireless Charging
Smart Infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Configuration
Climate Control with rear A.C. Vents
Keyless Entry and Go
Electronic Parking Brake
Multiple Drive Modes
Panoramic Sunroof
Ventilated Seats
Heads-up Display (HuD)
Ambient Lighting

Price

H6 HEV is the big upgrade over 1.5T variant, especially in terms of performance and efficiency. The better variant warrants the bigger price tag.

Haval H6 HEV has the cost equal to Rs.4.8 million in China and it seems cheaper and China has indigenized HEV production, which reduces different costs. When the complete knock-down kits are provided in Pakistan, they will be added with different taxes, which can lead the price of the final product.

Haval H6 HEV will have the cost upwards of Rs. 9 million in Pakistan, which can leave bad impact on its demand.
