Personal Inspection by Chief Minister

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has proactively immersed himself in the metro passenger experience to gain firsthand insights. During his journey, he actively engaged with fellow commuters, valuably capturing their feedback and perspectives. An observation he made was the malfunctioning air conditioning on the buses, causing significant discomfort to passengers, particularly in the heat. Responding promptly to this revelation, CM Naqvi took swift action by ordering the immediate repair of the air conditioning units.

Initiatives Targeting Students

Recognizing the pivotal role of affordable transportation for students, CM Naqvi introduced a significant initiative. He announced cost-free bus and train travel privileges for both male and female students. To materialize this visionary plan, the transport secretary was tasked with formulating a comprehensive proposal.

Addressing Infrastructure Challenges

During a visit to the Anarkali train station, CM Naqvi pinpointed areas demanding improvement. He was made aware of issues such as malfunctioning restrooms, inadequate water supply, and token machines not functioning as intended. Swiftly acknowledging the urgency for remedial measures, he directed the transport secretary to initiate corrective actions aimed at enhancing the station's facilities.

Anticipating Future Enhancements

CM Naqvi's comprehensive assessment extended from the Anarkali station to Ali Town, encompassing an evaluation of token machines and the overall passenger experience. Feedback from passengers highlighted concerns regarding non-operational token machines and unsatisfactory restroom facilities. In order to elevate the passenger journey, CM Naqvi recommended innovative strategies, including online and credit card-based recharging for metro cards, restoration of token machine functionality, and the upgrading of amenities tailored for women.
