MG Car Price Increase February 2023

The price of the locally assembled variant of the MG HS Essence crossover SUV has been raised by up to Rs. 13 lakh by MG JW Automobile. In a notification, the company stated that despite significant currency devaluation, the price of MG HS Essence has remained unchanged since its launch in 2022. However, due to the imposition of an 18% sales tax in addition to the forex impact, the company claimed that a price increase is now necessary.

The company implemented the price increase in two stages.


New Price of MG HS Essence 

The price of vehicles with a delivery time of February/March 2023 has been raised by Rs. 100,000, with the new price for consumers being Rs. 6,999,000 instead of the previous price of Rs. 6,899,000. These vehicles will be invoiced starting from February 14, 2023. On the other hand, the new price for all new orders with delivery time in April 2023 is Rs. 8,199,000, reflecting an increase of Rs. 1,300,000. These new prices will take effect from February 15, 2023.



Terms and Conditions

• The prices stated are per unit and are ex-factory, inclusive of all applicable duty and taxes.
• Any impact on prices caused by changes in foreign exchange, government levies, fiscal policies, import policies, or other factors will be the responsibility of the customer.
• The price at the time of delivery will be considered final.
• The prices stated do not include other charges such as withholding tax, transportation, transit insurance, and the like.
• If a booking is made for delivery in April, a partial payment of 20% of the new price, which is equivalent to Rs. 1,640,000, will be required.
