MG ZS Finally Becomes First Locally manufactured EV In Pakis
The Morris Garages MG has now officially started the assembling of MG ZS electric vehicle at its EV manufacturing plant located at Lahore. So the MG ZS EV now becomes the first locally assembled EV in Pakistan. The company and industry have achieved a remarkable milestone in this way and more opportunities and possibilities will be availed to manufacture more electric vehicles locally in Pakistan.
In a Tweet, the MG Pakistan stakeholder, Javed Afridi shared a video in which we can see the MG ZS EV during its assembling and captioned “Made in Pakistan”. In this way, the MG Pakistan becomes the first local EV assembler in the country.
The MG ZS EV is a sub-compact crossover electric SUV that was launched in the international market in 2018. It is powered by a 44.5 kWh battery that powers an electric motor mounted over the front axle, which generates 140 hp and 350 Nm of torque.
The price of the MG ZS EV is about Rs. 6.85 million, which is Rs. 2.75 million more than the price of its petrol-powered version. According to MG Pakistan, the company has announced the price and booking of the MG EV about two weeks ago.
