If you are traveling on motorcycle, then the initial thing you should remember is to travel light and only take things with you that are necessary. You can make your decision by following the tips provided below.
In case of traveling to northern areas of Pakistan, it is much easier and comfortable to ride motorcycle instead of using train o r bus. You should keep yourself aware about extremely low temperature and strong winds for which you should keep yourself warm. It should be remembered that motorbike riders are more susceptible to harsh weather and accidents as compared to car drivers.
You should use comfortable instead of stylish clothes. Jackets, undershirts, gloves and socks are few of such protecting materials. It will not be possible for you to change clothes frequently and you may have to travel on the same dress for long hours.
Reflective Gear
Reflective gear is an important safety measure as motorcyclists traveling to north usually avoid sunlight due to temperatures in Pakistan unless they have reached higher altitude. Reflective equipment is helpful in this case as you will not have to rely much on taillights and headlamps.

Water Resistant Equipment & Rainwear
While traveling to north via motorcycle, rainfall is a primary concern and you have to take account that water should not damage the materials you are taking with you. Your trousers and jackets should be water resistant, warm and comfortable. You should take minimum luggage that should be wrapped in a water resistant material. ‘PVC’ is the name given to the water resistant material which is coated with rubber o r polyvinyl chloride.

The Right Rope
Nylon rope is extremely strong with high melting point which makes it the best all purpose rope. After drying, it is also an insulator. But the properties of electrical resistance changes after become water resistance. Dielectric properties of nylon can also be affected by dirt and other contaminants. Due to flexibility, it is also shock absorbent. You can make it a flexible rope if you know how to tie knots. But in few situations, non stretchable ropes are better and the best among them is polyester rope. You can keep both these ropes and use them according to your requirement o r situation.

Equipment
First aid kit with bandages, antiseptic wipes and other medical supplies is the most important thing you need in any emergency. You should also keep a compass as they can easily guide you in thinly populated places. A durable flashlight with extra batteries can help you in numerous occasions like taping your flashlight to work as headlamp if your original headlamp stops working for some reason. Matches are more reliable than lighters in low temperatures. But matches should be kept away from water as they are not waterproof. Keep a multi-tool kit with you that will take very little space

Specially for Motorcycle
Compressor pump will help you in case of flat tyre while spare tube is also important in such situation. You should have a good lock system for y our motorcycle so that you can leave it in necessary condition. Keep a durable and waterproof cover which should also be lightweight that can easily be carried away.
