New Electrified Muscle – Dodge Charger

When you talk about Muscle cars, Dodge has gained popularity, especially for Charger and the Challenger. The Dodge Charger started in 1969, which is the 2 door vehicle and it was switched to 4 door sedan in 2006 to prepare the 6th generation. The company introduced the 7th generation I 2011. Now we will watch the electric dodge charger in next two years and we will get New Electrified Muscle – Dodge Charger.

Electric Dodge Charger – Functional Concept

Charger and Challenger vehicles are considered the most fuel consuming variants and now the auto market is going to change its trend and they are going to introduce the vehicle having the electrification. Chrysler has owned the dodge brand and the present generation of Charger and Challenger may be the last vehicles, which are gasoline powered vehicles and it shows that the internal combustion engine will be ruled out.

The next generation of these vehicles will be electrified as Dodge released production ready functional concept to prepare the next generation, Charger Daytona. The company claims that this electric will have look of Dodge and it will also be driven as Dodge.

Exterior

The first generation had the squared off exterior styling on front side and there are concealed headlights and full width DRLs on the rear side for the new coming EV. This model has front aerodynamic wing to get maximum efficiency.

The slopping roof has the fuel glass panel and it can generate typical trunk like design and this model has the rear hatch to open upwards to give sufficient storage capacity. The EV has same design as 1st generation had but this car has wrapped around LED taillights and Race-track lighting.

Interior of Electric Dodge Charger

The interior side of the car has all new design approach for Dodge and it is provided with 12.3 inch infotainment system and it has massive 16-inch instrumental panel. This car has fully colored high definition head-up display.

Power

Dodge shared the information that it will use 800V DC architecture and it is expected that it will be very powerful. Dodge claimed that it can outturn most powerful model of Dodge like Hellcat and this car will be All Wheel Drive affair.

This car will have the power boost to car and it is mated with the multi speed transmission system. This concept model will be added with multiple driving modes, which are Auto, Sport, Track and Drag as there can be changed from the steering wheel.

Engine Roar

Dodge muscle cars are popular because of the sounds of growling engine and the company has incorporated in their EV with patent system, which is known as ‘Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust”. This system is used to produce roaring sound of the engine with intensity of 126 decibel.

Production Model

The production model of the car will be launched in the market as the model year 2024 and the production of this model will be started in 2023. It is expected that 4 door version from Dodge will replace the present Charger.
