New Vehicle Transfer System to be Launched in 2017

The Excise and Taxation Department Punjab is going to start the new vehicle transfer system. This system will be included with the car registration master card, universal number and new number plate. This process of car transfer makes this process of transferring vehicles more convenient among the car owners.

The car owners do not need to get the registration book but they can have a smart card on their names when they buy any vehicle from someone. The old number plate will be in the name of the previous owner and the new owner will have to get the new number plate and this process will be free. The department will also upgrade the record of Motors Branch of Excise and Taxation and it is part of this process.

This modern and latest system will help the department to counter the vehicle mafia and it will also reduce the forgery from the Department of Excise and Taxation. The possibility of corruption among the data entry operators and key punch operator will be removed with the introduction of this vehicle registration system. The Excise and Taxation Department made this decision to issue the universal numbers of cars to reduce the long queues of the people at the offices of the department and also reduce the work load with the launching of this new vehicle registration system. The department has already started the work on this project and the complete system will be revealed by the mid of 2017 to the public.
