Nissan, a automotive powerhouse established on December 26, 1933, is on the brink of commemorating its remarkable 90th anniversary. To mark this significant milestone, the company is launching the exclusive "90th Anniversary" collection, set to debut in Japan.
Diverse Lineup: A Tribute to Legacy
The collection boasts a diverse lineup of five distinct models, each embodying Nissan's commitment to innovation. Included are the electric Sakura kei car, the Leaf electric hatchback, the Note and Note Aura hybrid hatchbacks, and the Serena minivan. Notably absent are the exhilarating Fairlady Z and GT-R models, surprising enthusiasts.
Distinctive Design: Black and Copper Elegance
The special edition automobiles share a common design theme with black and copper body details, complemented by dark wheels and copper accents within the cabin. For added personalization, Nissan offers hood decals as a dealer-installed option. Customers can also opt for floor mats embroidered with the iconic "Nissan 90th Anniversary" tag, along with other unique features like a specially designed license plate frame.
Immersive Exhibition: Tracing Nissan's Journey
To coincide with the 90th-anniversary celebration, Nissan is hosting a special exhibit at its global headquarters, running from today through December 27. The Nissan Cars Walk* serves as the canvas, displaying the company's illustrious history since its inception on December 26, 1933. Positioned between Yokohama Station’s East Exit and the Minatomirai area, the Nissan Walk attracts thousands of visitors daily, offering an ideal platform to showcase Nissan's rich heritage and future aspirations.
Nissan Crossing Gallery Expands Horizons:
Launched in 2021 on VRchat, the Nissan Crossing Gallery enhances the brand's online engagement with customers and fans. Within this virtual space, users encounter Nissan's 90th-anniversary logo and explore new worlds. The platform allows interaction with Nissan's history, featuring a display of heritage cars, including classic Skylines, and even the opportunity to test-drive the Tama electric vehicle from 1947. Enthusiasts can also experience the more recent all-electric Sakura mini-vehicle, driving it around virtually.
