Pak Suzuki Faces More Non-Production Days in September
Pak Suzuki is the leading car manufacturing company, which is facing the non-production days and due to lack of Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) units, the company has extended the plant shutdown during the month of September. Now the company has announced the details according to which Pak Suzuki Faces More Non-Production Days in September.

The company has already made the announcement regarding the closing of its plants on 08 to 09 September. These shutdowns are not good news for the consumers and the company itself. The non-production days will harm the supply and delivery of the cars to its customers and the company has already the delivery period of 6 to 8 months, which is badly affected its reputation.
Pak Suzuki halted the production of the plant on 18 and 19 August and after that from 22 to 26 August and then from 29 to 31 August.
The production of the car of the company observed 12 days in August and bike production is at the peak.
Import Ban
The government applied the ban on the import of the essential and luxury items including car CKD kits during May this year. Due to an emergency economic plan, the government has to take the initiative. The government removed the ban but the issue of CKD kits is still present.
Pak Suzuki kept the booking of the car suspended from 01 July 2022 because of this issue and the bookings of the selected models were continued.
Toyota Pakistan and Honda Atlas observed the non-production days as they also faced the same situations. The companies emphasized the state bank to make the process smooth and convenient so that these companies can the kits in time. Suzuki announced in July that it would not observe the non-production days but the policy of SBP forced the company to turn down its policy and there had to observe non-production days. The shutdowns of the car plants made the overall situation for local car industry very sad and gloomy but it is hoped that the situation will be improved in future.
